Job Description

A key member of a Business Information Services team that helps the Commission improve the way it works through the effective use of Information, Communications and Technology, the role of Records Manager is a vital one. Not least as we recently initiated a major project to improve our document and records management and want you to play a leading role in ensuring its success. Promoting, through strong influence, good information, data and records management practice across the organisation, you will also lead a small team developing and managing our electronic document and records management service and system (EDRMS). You’ll then promote this service, and the strategic value of the information it contains, both internally and to our external partners, balancing the issues of accessibility with information security.

Experience and Skills

A proven track record of developing a business classification scheme and maintaining it as the core of an EDRMS is essential. Alongside that, the ability to influence and enable organisational change and a recognised relevant qualification are just as important.

Fully independent, our mission is to be a driving force in the improvement of public services through the delivery of world-class audits. And, with a reputation as an influential and authoritative thought leader and some of the most cutting edge and innovative audit processes around, we are well on the way to achieving our goal.

In return for your skills and experience, we offer an inclusive working environment where every individual helps make a real difference to the quality of local services and the lives of countless people. What’s more, you’ll enjoy excellent training and personal development opportunities and benefits including 27.5 days’ holiday pro-rata, final salary pension and employee assistance scheme and much more.
