Job Description

You’ll be the brains behind our new Collections Management System in the South-East Region – an online system allowing better access to our collections. Joining the Regional Office team at Polesden Lacey, you’ll promote and develop the system’s capabilities, while making sure the content is up-to-date, accessible and accurate. You want our collections to be discovered and shared, which is why you’ll work with regional curators, conservators, learning and development staff, house staff and volunteers to develop new audiences and learning initiatives. This is also where you’ll provide training and talks.

Experience and Skills

With a degree and museums qualification (or the relevant experience) behind you, you’ve worked closely with objects and their management systems. To say that you’re IT literate wouldn’t do you justice – you’ve great database knowledge and accurate data entry skills, and are also used to handling and photographing collections. You’re great at working with all kinds of people. A driving licence is essential.
