The NSPCC Safeguarding Information and Library Service, is the UK’s leading information source on child protection and safeguarding. While providing an information service for the charity’s staff, it also has an excellent reputation nationally and is developing its external services through the web and traditional channels.

A qualified library and information professional with post qualifying experience is required to answer specialist enquiries from NSPCC staff and external enquirers, as well as cataloguing print and electronic materials, with experience and/or an interest in delivering current awareness services.

Experience and Skills

You should have intermediate IT skills with experience of web and bibliographic database searching, together with good written and verbal communication skills. You must also be a good team worker, well organised, and demonstrate commitment to quality customer service.
